RESIDENT WELLNESS
Resident Retreat: Our annual resident retreat is a great event each summer where the residents take a weekend away together and have some fun boating, hanging out, and enjoying some rest! We are very grateful to have staff who are willing to host all of the residents each year!
Resident Ski Trip: Residents spend a weekend skiing and snowboarding at the world-class ski resorts just outside Calgary. Evenings are spent having dinners with many of the staff surgeons.
Birdsell Day: Part of our resident research program. This day is accompanied by a dinner prior to and after the presentations with a special visiting professor.
Plastic Surgery Fitness Challenge: The entire Plastic Surgery team competes in a friendly fitness challenge that puts each of the hospitals against each other to encourage team camaraderie and healthy, active lifestyles.
Resident Snack Fund: Residents make a food/snack order each month to stock the resident lounge with drinks and snacks to keep them fueled and healthy!
New Resident Welcome: Each year, we welcome the incoming plastic surgery residents with a day full of activities and a resident and staff BBQ in the evening!
